Kelli has been working with youth and families for 25 years. Her work has primarily focused on innovative prevention and intervention programming for youth and young adults. Her work is well recognized nationally and internationally as an author in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy programming specifically working with young people. As the Executive Director Kelli believes that community begins with caring for one another and sharing resources to assist guiding young people as they emerge into adulthood.

Tobi McEnerney grew up in Western Washington and has lived in Port Townsend since the age of 11. She has a passion for working with young people, engaging in community work, and spending time with her amazing family. She is excited about OWL360’s housing program, which not only offers affordable housing but also provides case management that aims to help young people in our community move from merely surviving to truly thriving. Tobi is thrilled to be part of the OWL360 mission to support and uplift youth.

Derek is a community facilitator, poet, and advocate based on the Olympic Peninsula. With a background in journalism, housing advocacy, and social services in Port Townsend, he brings a collaborative, story-centered approach to youth engagement and community building. For the past three years, Derek has hosted Spoken Open, an all-ages open mic at The Nest, creating a welcoming space where young people and community members share their voices across generations. He is passionate about helping youth build confidence, agency, and practical skills while fostering spaces rooted in listening, creativity, and accountability. Outside of work, Derek continues to write, perform, and invest in projects that strengthen connection and belonging.

Sonia Frojen returned to Port Townsend in the Spring of 2024 after living in Seattle for a few years. She grew up in the rural upper Midwest before moving to the Aleutian Islands of SW Alaska for junior high and high school. College in Portland, Oregon eventually connected her to the Salish Sea and environmental education aboard Schooner Adventuress as a deckhand and educator. She moved to Port Townsend in 2003 and has worked various jobs in maritime work, trip guiding, massage therapy, and for almost 10 years educating young people at the Northwest Maritime Center. Sonia works to empower young people with life-long learning skills to build relationships and connect to resources in the community. She is also dedicated to actively unlearning and dismantling racism, classism, transphobia, homophobia, ageism and ableism.

Zhaleh is dedicated to nurturing the leadership of future generations and co-creating healthy communities that prioritize the needs of underrepresented people. She is an experienced community organizer, facilitator, and youth worker. They draw on experience in nonprofit management, prioritizing social impact over profit, and progressive philanthropy, acknowledging power indifferences and working towards the creation of equitable systems.

Dana is an artist and art educator who is passionate about the transformative power of creativity. She is excited to join the OWL360 community as the Academic Director of the Clemente Course. In addition to working with OWL360, Dana enjoys being an art instructor for local schools and organizations, including Swan School, the Benji Project, and Northwind Art. She works alongside her students as they explore visual culture, art history, artistic technique and creative self-expression. Dana is committed to teaching and studying art from a social justice perspective, keeping diversity, equity and inclusion at the center of her practice.

The Nest Community Coffee House, located in Uptown Port Townsend, opened its doors January 2022 in response to young people advocating for a youth centered space in their community. This hub of resource and connection directs 100% of its proceeds to programming for youth and young adults.

We provide housing for young adults ages 18-25 who are unhoused, are at risk of being unhoused, or are fleeing an unsafe environment. We provide case care to the residents and access to a variety of resources.

Earn to Learn Program (https://www.owl360.org/career-pathways)
Runs 2X times a year and is open to people ages 17-24 (or so, exceptions can be made on case by base basis) who live in Jefferson County and who want to begin a career pathway towards a living wage and meaningful employment. This class meets weekly and requires some independent coursework. Upon completion of the 45 hour program young people earn a $500 stipend.
Level Up Internship Program (https://www.owl360.org/career-pathways)
Level Up is a paid internship program that supports the Earn to Learn graduates to embark on their career pathways by supporting paid internships and pathways into vocational training programs. Upon the successful completion of 90 hours of career aligned work and/or training young people earn a $1000 stipend.
Open Doors (https://www.owl360.org/career-pathways)
OWL360 and the Port Townsend School District are partnering on a new Career Pathway program for young people, ages 17-24 (ish), who have not yet completed their high school diplomas. The new Open Doors program is focused on Career Ready skills and supporting young people to find career pathways that are meaningful and will lead to living wage jobs. It can also be a program to support high school diploma completion (but that is not a requirement).
Clemente Course at OWL360 (https://www.owl360.org/clemente-course)
The Clemente Course at OWL360 (Clemente) offers a transformative, college-level educational experience for those facing economic hardship and adverse circumstances. Clemente empowers students to further their education and careers, become effective advocates for themselves and their families, and engage actively in the cultural and civic lives of their communities.
