Description:
Food stamps are available for those who make less than $1,400 a month and are 18 and older or emancipated. Food stamps are income based, you can apply online, over the phone, or online. The process can take awhile starting with the application then waiting on the phone for an available representative to verify your employment/lack of employment information. Most people feel that it is easiest to submit the application online then follow up with the phone call. NOTE: Jefferson County Farmers Markets take Food Stamps.
